Ili-Likha Artist Village

There are metal wires, wooden sculptures, painting and drawings of the Cordillera people, and other art pieces made from recycled materials.

This art sanctuary celebrates the rich culture of the Cordillera people, and is a beautiful opportunity to educate and promote Baguio’s finest to the tourists.

Opened in 2014, Ili-Likha Artist Village’s concept came from owner, film director and writer, Eric de Guia, commonly known as Kidlat Tahimik. Upon entering, you’ll notice all sorts of trinkets and different kinds of art elements that will instantly pique your curiosity.
It is a multi-level establishment built around overgrown trees and wooden structures, so as to promote the humble nature and culture of Baguio.

The entire place is adorned with different works of art such as the rainbow staircase made with mosaic tiles and the old bottles on the cement walls

They also have a flower shop beside the entrance and an in-house theater.

My Baguio adventure led me to discover “Ili-Likha Artist Village” Tree House cafe right in the middle of Assumption Road. The facade will instantly generate interest. The place is very eye catching inside out. It appears to be an unconventional multi-level tree house. Art pieces are placed together

From time to time, they also hold art workshops and other events in this place. But the best part about Artist Village is the Kiwing na Kahoy Food Community – a group of food vendors situated around the entire tree house that promotes healthy eating by providing delicious and very affordable meals with no MSG and no preservatives. Everything that they serve are made from fresh and organic ingredients. They’re not even allowed to sell softdrinks here!

Balbacua

Balbacua is famous and has been featured by many because of their famous Southern Philippine dish called the Balbacua – a soup specialty made with slow-cooked ox tail or beef skin for at least six hours. They also serve breakfast meals and drinks here.

BrrrGrrr Bistro

Brrr Grr sells freshly-made burgers, hungarian sausage sandwich and potato wedges, all made from quality ingredients and sold at reasonable prices. Their must-try is their humongous Burgasm burger, good for 3-4 persons.
